The rule of thirds: Take advantage of the grid option in digital cameras. Many experts say that shots are better if they aren’t centered. This is to give the eye a more relaxed state and make the photograph more visually-impacting. This is helped with the grid option which overlays two vertical and two horizontal lines on the picture, splitting the frame into nine sections. To gain better composition, align the subject either on the top third or bottom third line. The foreground and background then make the subject more stunning.

Change elevation: Beginners are often taught to shoot from eye-level. This is fine in the beginning but experts now say that it is best to experiment at the beginning. Although photography is about capturing moments, this does not necessarily mean from a natural point-of-view. Beginners are asked to experiment on viewpoints and finding a look that suits them.

Full resolution and quality: This sounds obvious but many beginners still insist of compromising their quality for data space. This should not be the case. All photos should be taken at full resolution and quality. This not only helps with photo quality but helps build a person’s portfolio.

Beginners are recommended to find themselves a mentor to help them during the first few months of their career. This dramatically improves their work quality and enhances the speed of their own professional growth.
